ABOUT US

Nathan and Julie Heafner have been serving the Lord in many ways since they got married in 2004. They hosted foreign exchange students for 3 years, then became licensed foster parents in Alamance County, NC for 8 years. During that time, they adopted 4 wonderful children out of foster care and have continued to serve the local community. During one mission to serve, the Lord spoke clearly to Nathan and that revelation led to the beginning of Middle Man Ministries.

Nathan Heafner, Founder, President, and Executive Director: He has been working as an Electronics Instrumentation and Controls Technician since 1995. He has been to Colombia, South America 6 times and Juarez, Mexico twice on short term, construction-based mission trips. He also volunteers with local ministries to help them with construction or other work related projects. He is a deacon at Antioch Community Church in Elon, NC and loves caring for the saints.

Julie Heafner, Co-Founder and Vice President: She spends most of her time at home raising her four adoptive children, but is also an amazing networker. Even after her time as a foster parent came to an end, she continues to maintain relationships with many of the children that came through her home and their biological/adoptive parents. Her desire to look after the welfare of children is unmatched.
